What I Wore: Tropical (& Affordable) Swimsuits in Jamaica
In June, we took a trip to Jamaica with two of our friends and stayed all-inclusive at Sandals Negril and can I just tell you... I'm STILL not over it. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been and we had the best time. But instead of going on and on about how awesome it was, I just wanted to pop up a quick post about some of my favorite swimsuits (all from Target, because their swim options are fabulous this year) that you can get for a great price. I'll show you a few of the bikinis and one-pieces I wore, which were both cute and durable for everything from lounging by the pool to snorkeling in the ocean, and I'll post some similar options as well. Enjoy!

Date Night with Tacos & Tequila
Thank goodness it's Friday!! I'm currently running off of very little sleep and quite a lot of coffee thanks to the craziness of this week, and I still have to make it through a laryngectomy conference today before I can finally relax and enjoy the weekend. I'm so close! Anyway, in my tiny moment of spare time I thought I'd share a quick post with you guys about what I wore last Saturday for date night. James & I went to The Flying Iguana in Neptune Beach and enjoyed the BEST tacos and drinks. We love it there! As far as my outfit, if you haven't already noticed I'm definitely a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, but I thought I'd dress it up slightly with heels and a neckline detail.

Looks I Love: Fall Fashion Trends
Although it might not feel like it in Florida, fall is officially here! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will begin to change soon, so I can enjoy hot pumpkin spice lattes and attending football games without burning to a crisp. But, in the meantime I wanted to share some of my favorite fall trends with you guys. I might not be able to wear some of them yet, but hopefully you can!

Looks I Love: Wedding Guest Dresses for Spring
Spring is here and wedding season is in full swing! My little brother is getting married this June, so I'm currently on the hunt for the perfect dress. I know "florals for spring" isn't ground-breaking news in the fashion world (thank you, Miranda Priestly), but I can't deny my love for bright pops of color and fun, floral prints this time of year. Cold shoulders and ruffled sleeves are trending, and I can't get enough of these looks either. Here are ten of my favorite dresses at the moment, that incorporate these spring styles I'm loving and are sure to make you the most fabulous guest at any upcoming wedding:

What I Wore: A Snowy Night Out
Yesterday, it was so cold that we experienced quite the sight... snow in Florida!! Okay, so maybe it was just a few small flurries, but it was exciting nonetheless! However, while getting ready to meet friends for dinner and drinks, James and I found ourselves digging out the warmest things we owned and packing on the layers. I would have preferred to travel out in a giant snuggie, but instead I settled on my thickest sweater, scarf, and coat to handle the flurries (and maybe 3 pairs of socks under my boots, who's counting?). What a true Floridan.

What I Wore: A Casual Thanksgiving
Happy Black Friday, everyone! I'm currently still in my pjs and sipping coffee on the couch while James cooks breakfast (you'd think we'd still be stuffed after yesterday, but nope!) and this is exciting news because it's the first Black Friday in about 8 years that I'm not working at all! I no longer work in retail and it feels amazing to be relaxing after Thanksgiving instead of dealing with the madness in the mall. Good luck to all my retail workers out there! You're awesome so don't let any crazy shoppers bring you down :)

What I Wore: Drinks & Date Night
Last night, James and I had a lovely evening out to celebrate 6 years and 5 months of dating AND the fact that our wedding is officially 6 months away! So exciting! We started with drinks at one of my favorite places, the rooftop bar of Black Sheep and then enjoyed a tasty dinner (and some more drinks of course) at Hawkers. I love date nights :)

A Few New Accessories For Fall
I love any excuse to go shopping and the seasons changing is always a great one. Thank you, Mother Nature! I've also been in desperate need of some new work clothes and I figured these two reasons combined equal a trip to the mall along with a "Get Out of Jail Free" pass to use when my credit card bill arrives next month. Adulting? Never heard of it....

5 Tips for Wedding Dress Shopping
That's right! I've finally found THE ONE! I'm amazed and relieved because I've actually been dress shopping since May and after months of trying on dress after pretty dress, I was beginning to think I would never have the "I JUST KNEW" moment that most brides describe. In reality, 99% of the dresses I tried were beautiful, but none of them gave me the "THIS IS IT" feeling. I wondered if I was being too picky or not picky enough. I questioned if I had started shopping too late. I also began to assume since I'm not the typical TV show bride who brings her mom, sisters, grandmother, great grandmother (via Skype or a rare seance), future mother in law, aunts, best friends, sorority sisters (current and former), wedding planner, and any other female acquaintance to dress appointments with me, then maybe I wouldn't have the dramatic "Say Yes to the Dress" moment. BUT LO AND BEHOLD, it finally happened and it was truly as magical as everyone describes.
